Summers, 1988, '89, '90, '91, '92, '93 '94: NASA-ASEE Summer Faculty Fellow at the Marshall Space Flight Center. The Burst And Transient Source Experiment (BATSE) on the Gamma-Ray Observatory. Determined the energy calibration and response functions for BATSE. Analysis of gamma-ray burst time profiles.

Pre-1973: Busboy at Kirsch’s seafood restaurant in New Orleans. (All the restaurants in West End Park have disappeared thanks to Katrina.) Drove a yellow cab. Counted bottles for the 7-up company (math skills highly important :) Usher and cashier at the Robert E. Lee theater in New Orleans. French tutor.
